Early First Generation Cleo Baldon X-Base Campaign Side Chair, Ca. 1960. This early example features the original rawhide strapping on the back and seat and the original black cushions with leather ties. Frame is the original dark green color, which was offered in both black and dark green at the time of manufacture from her company, Terra Furniture in LA in the 1960’s. Dowels are original weathered oak and chair is structurally sound.
Difficult to find one of these chairs with no damage or breakage. Collectors piece.
This chair is a very early example in very good overall condition. All of the rawhide straps are intact and free from breaks. The cushions are original with only slight wear.
Each chair measures 16″ w x 17″ d x 32″ h
